Ekiti Election: PDP candidate alleges manipulation of results

The PDP governorship candidate, Kolapo Olusola, has raised the alarm over what he described as plan to tinker with results of the election.


His campaign spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, said results in most of the Local Councils were being tinkered with.

“Aside the fact that it was an election of the PDP versus all the security agencies in the country, we are confident of winning,” Mr. Olayinka said.


He said the various wards collating centres had been taken over by armed thugs backed by security agencies as it was before and during the election.

Premium Times has not independently verified the spokesperson’s claims.

Mr. Olayinka said, “Despite the intimidation and harassment by security agencies, we are still hopeful of winning the election but we are confronted with a clear plot to manipulate the results.

“We are therefore calling on all well meaning Nigerians to prevail on the security agencies and INEC to allow the will of Ekiti people to prevail.”

Femi Falana gets information on N4.6b fuel drained daily from FG

The federal government has forwarded to Lagos lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) information on fuel importation and sundry matters. The requested information was forwarded to the lawyer by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) which was acting on the directive of the Minister of state, Petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachukwu as requested in his letter to the minister dated April 17, 2018.
