"Disappointed" Mourinho Blow Hot Ahead Of The New Season

Manchester united boss Jose Mourinho, have stated that he is happy with his current set of players despite the club’s failure to land his desired player before the elapse of the league transfer window.

The club secured the services of Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant early on in the transfer window but failed to make further additions. Reports have it that Jose Mourinho wanted two players before the elapse of the window. The club’s bids for Harry Maguire, Toby Alderweired, Ivan Perisic, Willian, Jerome Boateng and subsequently Diego Godin all failed to push through. This meant the club will play Leicester city on Friday with almost the exact squad of last season.

Mourinho have caught a frustrated figure in the entire saga still tried to be optimistic about the new league season.

The Portuguese in his press statement ahead of Leicester game said,  “When you repeat 1000 times that my relationship with my players is not good, a lie repeated 1000 times is still a lie. I like my players and my group”. “I enjoyed last season, the fight to finish where we finished and to manage the best position this club has had in five years. I'm going to enjoy this season”. “I know the words you want me to say or not to say. It depends on the music, but words don't come easy [at this stage]”. “By the end of November or December you don't need words, you'll see by then which teams are candidates to win the Premier League”. “At the moment, words are not important. Let's play football and see by the end of November or December. You'll see then which teams are candidates.”
