FIFA have turned down a proposed visit by a Nigerian delegation, led by the Minister for Sports, Solomon Dalung in a bid to discuss the ongoing leadership tussle rocking the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). Nigeria are facing a race against time to avoid a worldwide ban from football after FIFA gave Nigeria until Monday, August 20, 2018 to handover the administration and offices of the Football Federation to Amaju Pinnick and his Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi. Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne will be out for three months due to a knee injury but will not require surgery, Manchester City have confirmed. The midfielder damaged the lateral collateral ligament (LCL) in his right knee during a training session on Wednesday.  De Bruyne came on as a 60th-minute substitute during the defending Premier League champions' 2-0 win at Arsenal last weekend as Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling played behind Sergio Aguero during the match. Apple CEO Tim Cook has given a rare glimpse of the stunning four-story doors at Apple's giant 'spaceship' headquarters. In a tweet, the Apple CEO shared a gif of Apple Park's massive lunchroom doors, which provide natural ventilation for the site's 4,000 person café. Apple Park opened last year in Cupertino, California and is a $5 billion campus that can accommodate 12,000 employees. 'Lunchtime at Apple Park just got a whole lot more exciting,' Cook wrote in a tweet late Wednesday.  The gif appears to have been made from a timelapse video, speeding up the amount of time it takes to open the gigantic glass doors. Lionel Messi's brother has been sentenced for possessing an illegal firearm. The Barcelona star's sibling, Matias, received a two-and-a-half year prison sentence on Thursday but instead of going to jail, he will undertake community service. Argentine newspaper, La Capital, report that the decision was reached through a deal with investigating prosecutors. The firearm was found late in 2017 inside a blood-stained boat, which Matias crashed in the Parana River. The 35-year-old was initially held under preventive arrest and later released while he recovered from a fractured jaw and other injuries in the Santa Fe province of Argentina. Matias' lawyer originally argued that his client crashed the boat into a sandbank and denied that he owned the gun.  This isn't the first time Matias has had brushes with the law for allegedly illegally carrying a firearm. The social media face-off happened yesterday August 16th 2018 with a Twitter user with the account name @MaPrLo. She took out time to go through the list of his followers on the social media app and noticed some strange looking followers. The user sharing supposed screenshots of the fake Instagram accounts following him, with the caption; "Well done sir!! It’s not a good look on you @tobibakre. A woman has been denied the opportunity to get a job with a health company after the company believed her name sounds too local. The woman, Hermeisha Robinson, made this known on Monday, August 13, 2018, with a Facebook post. Robinson claimed in her post on Facebook that she received an email from Mantality Health based in Missouri denying her of a job she applied for because her name was “ghetto.” Hermeisha Robinson said in a post, which has since gone viral on Facebook, that she had been rejected from a position she believed she was “well qualified for” by a company because of her name. A sad news of a man who killed and buried his elder brother to avoid increased medical bills has been reported by Guardian news. It was reported that a 40-year-old man terminated the life of his sick elder brother in order to avoid incurring medical bills. The incident occurred at Ugwuagbo Inyi village in Igbo-Eze North Local council of Enugu State. The incident was said to have thrown the sleepy and calm village of Inyi into a state of shock and sorrow. The dastardly act took place on August 3, 2018.
