Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation has queried President Muhammadu Buhari’s latest appointment of new Director-General of Department of State Security, DSS. Buhari in a statement by his Spokesman, Garba Shehu appointed Yusuf Magaji Bichi as the new Director General of the DSS. Magaji replaces Matthew Seiyeifa, who has been operating in an acting capacity since Lawal Daura was dismissed. Reacting to the news, Fani-Kayode in a tweet said the appointment of Yusuf Magaji as the new DSS DG confirms Buhari’s Islamisation agenda. According to him, the appointment shows that Buhari cannot trust any southerner or Christian to hold any sensitive positions. Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has reportedly resigned from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. According to sources, Adeosun resigned over allegations that she forged her National Youth Service Corps certificate. However, reports gathered that the minister resumed in her office this morning and it is unclear when the reported resignation will take effect. Adeosun had come under fire with several Nigerians, particularly on the social media with NYSCgate and several countdowns, demanding investigations from the Federal Government into the allegations and calling for her resignation for presenting an alleged forged exemption certificate.
