He turned 87, while undergoing tests, but will be home for the birthday of his wife, Leah Tutu, this weekend, the statement noted, thanking well-wishers. The statement did not say what particular tests the archbishop, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer years ago, was undergoing. He has been in the hospital several times in recent years and had been battling with prostate cancer, which he has lived with for more than 17 years. The Ekiti State House of Assembly has impeached its Speaker, Kola Oluwawole. Ebenezer Alagbada was said to have been elected to take his place. Oluwole was impeached alongside his deputy on Thursday afternoon. The impeachment was carried out this afternoon by 14 members of the House. According to a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Stephen Gbadamosi, those who carried out the ‘illegality’ were provided police cover and they prevented other members and even staff of the House from having access to the complex, adding that some members were also suspended.
