Nigerian Singer, D’banj might be in more trouble as police are set to investigate an event he attended over the weekend.
D’banj had got social media buzzing after a video of him in a fully packed party went viral. Apparently the party which took place on Saturday in Abuja was said to have been organized by a friend of his and the singer was invited to perform.
However, D’banj and the organizers were slammed for flouting COVID- 19 rules. He was also slammed because he is currently in a fragile position after he allegedly had his rape accuser, Seyitan arrested and bullied as reported by Gist of the day
Now, the DSP Anjuguri Manzah, Public Relations Officer, in a statement on Sunday, said the command was trying to get the facts about the event.
Manzah, however, stated that the venue and time the video was recorded has not been verified. He called on members of the public with privileged information to give the Police “details of the said event”.
The statement reads;“The attention of the Chairman FCT Covid-19 Enforcement Team and Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Bala Ciroma has been drawn to a video in circulation alleged to have been recorded at a party attended by Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as Dbanj in Abuja.
It is pertinent to state that the venue and time the video was recorded has not been verified. Members of the public, with privileged information, are called upon to furnish the FCT Covid-19 Enforcement Team with details of the said event.
The Team wishes to state that it would not tolerate any violation of the Quarantine act and Covid-19 guidelines”.
