Arsenal are in advanced talk with Barcola over a loan deal for out-of-favor star Philippe Coutinho, according to a report.
The Brazil international has spent this season on loan with Bayern Munich and supposedly remains unwanted by Barca, who are hoping to offload him on a permanent basis.
However, with a lack of bidders for the 28-year-old, Spanish outlet Sport claims that the Catalan giants are prepared to sanction another loan switch.
Arsenal are known to be interested in signing Coutinho and have close ties with his agent Kia Joorabchian, which should work in their favour.
Arsenal’s relationship with Kia Joorabchian has helped progress talks, with his client list including current Arsenal stars David Luiz and Cedric Soares.
Earlier interview with Joorabchian indicated Coutinho is interested in coming back to the premier league
“It’s no secret he wants to come back to the Premier League,” Joorabchian said at the end of July.
“It’s still very much open. There is a lot of genuine interest.
“He loves playing in the Premier League, he is adored playing in the Premier League and that is one of his priorities.”
The report indicates that the Gunners are now at an advanced stage in talks with Barca and could make an announcement soon.
As well as bringing in Coutinho, Report also has it that Arsenal are also rumoured to be looking to add Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey and another of Joorabchian’s clients is Willian, who is believed to be close to signing for Arsenal.
