Generator Explosion Claims The Life Of University of Calabar 300 Level Anatomy Student

A young lady identified as Umo Aniekpeno died after she was allegedly burnt in a generator explosion. According to close family friend, the deceased was badly burnt as a result of the sad incident which took place at their family house in Calabar, the Cross River state capital.

Death can be a very painful experience for the deceased and the loved ones they left behind. Death of a loved one becomes even much more painful when it involves a young person. It is a sad moment for the Aniekpeno’s family as one of their daughter died in a generating set incident. The young lady was an Anatomy student of the University of Calabar, Cross River State. She died as a result of burns encountered as a generating set exploded.

The young lady identified as Umo Aniekpeno died after she was allegedly burnt in a generator explosion. According to close family friend, the deceased was badly burnt as a result of the sad incident which took place at their family house in Calabar, the Cross River state capital. The cause of the generator explosion was not made available. It is not clear if the explosion was caused by substandard fuel which was used by the generator or if the generator had some sort of mechanical fault which made it to explode.

The incident took place over the weekend at the deceased person’s parent’s house in Calabar. The family of the deceased have not revealed any burial arrangements yet. May the gentle soul of Umo Aniekpeno rest in perfect peace.
