Police have arrested one Gregory Enwaeso, believed to be a native doctor for completely chopping off his son’s hand as punishment for stealing.
Gregory, a resident of Anambra in Nigeria, is believed to have committed the horrendous act with the help of his younger son, Chinonso, 20-years. Throwing more light on the matter, the Public Relations Director of the Anambra Police Command, SP Haruna Mohammed explained that the victim had been tied down with chained and left unattended for several weeks after both father and son had cut off his hand.
He explained that the Police got wind of the matter following a tip-off from some well-meaning folks in the neighborhood.
Police detectives on visiting the crime scene photographed the victim and rushed him to General Hospital Enugu-ukwu for medical attention.
However, the suspects, who confessed to the dastardly act, claimed that the victim allegedly absconded with the sum of N150,000 proceeds made by their father after throwing up a party following a breakthrough in his business.
