The spokesperson of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has said that the monarch learned of his separation from his wife, Olori Naomi, via social media just like every other person did. The Ooni of Ife's wife announced today, Dec. 23, that her marriage to the Ooni of Ife is over, making this the Yoruba monarch's third divorce. Oba Enitan Ogunwusi has been married 3 times so far, though Olori Naomi mentioned that the Ooni had "side attractions" during their marriage but she was the "only married wife". The Ooni first got married in 2008, before he became King. His first wife was Adebukola Bombota. They divorced years down the line. In 2016, shortly after becoming King, the Ooni took Benin indigene, Olori Wuraola Zainab, as wife. The marriage crashed in 2017 without a child. A year later, in 2018, the Ooni married a popular prophetess, Olori Naomi Silekunola. The marriage crashed today, Dec. 23, 2021, one year after they welcomed their son. The first-class Yoruba monarch has a 29-year-old daughter with Omolara Olatunbosun though they never got married. They were both teenagers when the daughter was conceived. Nigerians have trooped to the page of the alleged new wife of the Ooni of Ife to leave messages after Queen Naomi announced her marriage to the Yoruba monarch is over. The alleged new wife, Princess Ashley Afolashade Afolakemi, posts mostly photos of herself taken in the Palace and photos where she's meeting with children of the community. She signs off her posts with Aya Oba (wife of the king) and Aya Olofin Adimula. Her Instagram account is also filled with photos of her strictly wearing white or ivory, even when abroad, as the wives of Yoruba monarchs are known to. For the Ooni of Ife's last coronation anniversary,  she shared a photo of her and the Ooni in the Palace and showered encomium on him. Nigerians have gone on her page to leave messages of support after it was alleged that she is the new woman who made Olori Naomi leave.

01A court in Russia has jailed for 21 years a former Orthodox priest, who  adopted 70 children, and committed series of rape and abuse offences against them . Nikolai Stremsky, well known in Russia as the man with Russia's 'largest family' and was decorated with a national Order of Parental Glory, has been convicted of raping several children and other violent acts in his parish in the Urals in south-west Russia. As an abbot in the town of Saraktash, Stremsky and his wife ran a foster home from the early 1990s, adopting children from orphanages in the region. Most of the 70 children they adopted are now adults. Stremsky was arrested in 2019 and investigated for offences against seven minors, as at the time he condemned the allegations against him as slander. Sentencing Stremsky to prison in a penal colony, the court in Saraktash on Friday, December 24, banned him from working with children for 20 years and removed his national parenting honour. Isaac Owolabi Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, was filmed working as a delivery van driver in the UK. He shared the video himself to Instagram and revealed that he is a "big boy" back in Nigeria but has to drive a van in the UK "because the cost of employing someone" to do it for him is too high. "This abroad has no respect. Me, a big boy in Lagos, I'm now driving van in the UK to deliver stout, deliver garri," Isaac Fayose said in the video. He added: "So, a billionaire in Nigeria can drive a van in UK." He also said the UK way of life, that makes economic equality possible, is ideal. "That is how it's supposed to be, not some people here (up) and some people down. Oppressive society Nigeria, I hail thee," Isaac Fayose said.
