60-Year-Old Man Allegedly Kills Daughter For Money Ritual In Kogi

Daudu Ibrahim, a more than 60-year-old dad has been captured for purportedly hijacking and killing his 15-year-old girl, Sherifah for money ritual

gistoftheday.com reports that the sad incident occurred in Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State and the suspect is said to be a staff of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, in the department of Works and Fire Services unit.

Ibrahim and two other people identified as Isah Adam and Adah were accused of kidnapping the victim on 4th August 2022 at their residence in Okenya, along Itayi street, in the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area of the State.

According to DAILY POST, the remains of Sherifah were found in a shallow grave, with the body mutilated and some organs missing a few days after she was declared missing.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Williams Ayah, also confirmed the incident stating that the suspect and his accomplices were presently under police custody.

Ayah said t the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Egbuka has directed that the matter be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department in Lokoja for further investigation.

He added that a thorough investigation into the matter would be carried out by the police operatives to ascertain the circumstances leading to the kidnap and death of the deceased.

He said: “The commissioner of Police, CP Edward Egbuka, has ordered for an investigation into the case of an alleged kidnap, killing and disappearance of the body parts of a young lady identified as Miss Sherrifah, a 15-year-old girl in Idah by her father.”
