The cop found on camera attacking a yet-to-be-recognized man by hitting him over and over with a blade has met with the Inspector General of Police who has requested that he be made to confront preliminary.

A video of the cop, PC Okoi Liyomo, attacking his casualty in Ekori people group of Cross Rivers state became a web sensation few days prior.

CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the representative of the state police order, had guaranteed that the official will be distinguished and welcome to Abuja.

In an update shared on his Twitter handle the previous evening, Adejobi said the official met with the IGP on Thursday, August 4. He said the police supervisor has requested that the official be made to confront preliminary.

on 1st of August 2022 Gistoftheday reported how a police officer assaulting a yet-to-be-identified man by hitting him repeatedly with a machete has gone viral.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened in Ekori community in Cross River State.

Reacting to the video, the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the Commissioner of Police in the state has been contacted and necessary action will be taken on the incident.
