Stop Comparing Davido, Burna Boy And Wizkid - CKay Warns Fans

Popular Nigerian musician, Chukwuka Ekwean aka Ckay has issued a warning to music fans.

According to him, fans should stop comparing Davido, Burna boy and Wizkid.

He cautioned fans to stop berating a particular artiste’s effort in a bid to promote their favourite, noting the three artistes possess distinguishing qualities.

Sharing lessons he learnt from the trio, the 25-year-old singer stated Davido has taught him that getting plaques with afrobeat songs is possible.

Wizkid, he said, has shown him that where you come from doesn’t limit how far you can go and Burna Boy has made him realise that delay is not denial.

Appealing to fans, Ckay maintained that their favourite artiste can be hyped without criticising others as they all have different roles to play

He tweeted: “Davido showed me that getting plaques with afrobeat songs is possible, Wizkid showed me that where you come from doesn’t limit how far you can go, and Burna Boy showed me that delay is not denial

“Back in my CC days, Dice Ailes and I created a sound that birthed a whole new wave of afrobeats. It’s so funny how today some people twist the narrative and say we copied a sound we created lol.”
