A viral video of a young man beating an elderly woman, said to be his mother, in a community in Delta State has sparked outrage.
A human rights activist, Comrade Israel Joe, who claimed to have witnessed the scene, shared the video on Facebook on Wednesday, December 14.
Joe said that when he and his colleague arrived at the scene of the incident, they made sure to deal with the young man before they left.

We dealt with the guy until their community executives came to take up the matter and were begging I should delete the video. I told them it’s noted and for that I won’t mention the name of the community but for those still beating old people, when you see this guy, ask him what he felt from us. ” He wrote.
