Electric Spark Causes Serious Fire Outbreak on Cars(Video).

Somewhere in Edo state, serious fire outbreak occurred due to massive electric spark from electric poles.

An electric spark can cause a fire if it ignites flammable material in the vicinity. This can happen if the spark is generated near combustible materials, such as paper, wood, or gasoline.

It can also occur if the spark is generated within an electrical device that is not properly designed or maintained, and the heat from the spark causes nearby materials to catch fire.

In a video sent to gist of the day, cars can be seen burning seriously somewhere in Edo state as a result of an electric spark, from a nearby electric poll.

The cause of spark trigger which resulted into a fire outbreak is still unknown but folks were quickly able to gather around and a man can be seen using a fire extinguisher to quench fire.

Voices could also be heard screaming and lamenting in the video background, but fortunately no lives were reported to be lost.

In another breaking news, Fuel Tanker Catches Fire In Ibadan. According to witnesses, the tanker had a brake failure and decided to maneuver, thereby falling inside the drainage.

A fully-loaded tanker has lost control in Apata area of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

Sources told Gist of the Day that the tanker wreaked havoc at Apata junction. The incident occurred opposite Oando filling station Thursday evening.

One of the eyewitnesses said that the tanker, which was coming from Omi area lost control and rammed into a block of shops opposite the filling station and immediately burst into flames.

Gist of the Day gathered that the number of affected shops have not been ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

But, men of Oyo state fire service have arrived at the venue.

They were still at the scene of the incident as at the time of filing this report on Thursday.

The federal government has forwarded to Lagos lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) information on fuel importation and sundry matters.
