Young boys between the ages of 5 and 10 talked about inhaling a hard substance to get high in a video.
It is disheartening to hear about young boys engaging in the harmful behavior of sniffing hard substances. This type of substance abuse can have serious consequences for the physical and mental health of those who engage in it.
Substance abuse of any kind can lead to addiction, which can have a profound impact on a person’s life. Especially from a young age.
In Akosi Community, located in Ibadan, Oyo state. Two young boys named Hakeem Salami and Akorede Malik were being interrogated in a video on a case of sniffing hard substance called “gum” according to them.

As there were being questioned by an elderly folk which face was not revealed in the video, they opened up on how they get the substance, where they purchase it from, and what they do with it after purchase.
According to the boys, it was their friend ‘Mutiu’ who introduced them to the habit of sniffing the gas emitted from the gum.
When asked where they got it from, they responded and said it was from an Alfa but they don’t know his house directly as Mutiu do take them there secretly.
Whenever they want to get it, they use slangs like: “they want to buy brother” or “they want to buy solution” in saying so, no one will be able to decode or know what they are buying.
