Operatives of the Department of State Service, DSS have been given a serious warning by Binta Nyako, judge of the Abuja Federal High Court concerning Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.   The judge said she doesn’t want to see Kanu in the same clothes he has been wearing since his arrest last year.   She ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to allow Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to change his clothes.   Previously, Nyako had directed the DSS to allow the IPOB leader to have a bath whenever he wants to, change his clothes, eat properly and practice his faith.   However, at the court session on Tuesday, Mike Ozekhome, Kanu’s lead counsel, complained that his client is still being subjected to poor treatment in DSS custody.   He said Kanu is still being kept in solitary confinement and that any other detainee who greets him is also kept in solitary confinement.   Shortly before adjourning the matter, Nyako reminded the defenda

A serial criminal and suspected member of the Bobos Cult group identified as Austin Jephthah, has been apprehended by the Bayelsa State Vigilante Service for allegedly terrorizing Edepie – Agudama axis of Yenagoa. The suspect, also known as Tarzan, was nabbed on Tuesday morning while he was robbing an unsuspecting commuter at the popular Tombia-Edepie Roundabout area of Yenagoa. An accomplice to the suspect, one Tonero, who wielded a gun managed to escape when they were chased by men of the State vigilante after they had robbed a passenger inside a tricycle. According to reports, about 9:00am, the suspect and his accomplice, Tonero boarded a commercial tricycle at Tinacious junction, heading towards Tombia Roundabout. The tricycle had a male passenger onboard already, and that immediately the tricycle moved, the suspect and his accomplice held the passenger at gun point and asked him to submit all his belongings. Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham has opened up on her struggles in the past which turned her into a new person. Toyin in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, said she fell into depression sometime in her life and had to seek the help of a counsellor. Recounting her experience, Toyin revealed that being depressed made her abandon her family and led her into smoking cigarettes which is unacceptable in her Christian home. The 39-year-old actress said, “At some time in my life my manager had to get me a counsellor because I was depressed but lived in denial. I was not happy and very scared of life. “It was that bad that I thought of swimming or jumping from the third mainland bridge and hoping someone will save me. “I confided in people and they used it against me, I had fear of the unknown, my thought filled with negative things. “It was hard for me to trust people then because the people I had around me didn’t know how to keep things secret. “I am from a Chri

A Central Criminal Court has sentenced a man to seven years imprisonment after he repeatedly had unlawful carnal knowledge of his biological sister for years in their family home. John Paul Hegarty, 41, from Little Island, Cork, Ireland, was sentenced by Ms Justice Deidre Murphy. The judge noted that the victim could not remember a time in her childhood when she was not being s3xually abused by her brother, Echo Live reported. Nora Hegarty, 35, has waived her right to anonymity because she wanted her brother to be identified for the s3xual abuse crimes, which occurred for several years in the family’s home in Glanmire in the 1990s. Nora Hegarty said: “I did this for all the people out there in the same situation as me, so they might have the courage to speak out. “I thought reporting it would break me but it made me stronger. Not long ago, a video was shared by social media users where the deceased was seen cruising with the suspect in a luxurious car and according to the caption, it was the last time the lady was seen alive.
