A suspected house burglar has been nabbed at Lowcost Housing Estate in Akwanga Local Government area of Nasarawa State. The suspect was caught on Friday morning, October 7, through coordinated efforts of residents of the area. Tragedy has struck a family in Kogi state. According to Punch, nine members of the same family have reportedly died under mysterious circumstances in Nagazi, Adavi Local Government area of Kogi State. They include five children of the same parents, and four others. A man from Kyome/Thaana ward of Mwingi West county of Kenya has been arrested by the police for hacking his son to death with an axe. The man identified as Mwendwa Mboo, is currently being held at Migwani police station for killing his 14-year-old son, Mumo Mwendwa who he found playing with his mates after he sent him to the river to fetch water. Esther Mwendwa, the suspect’s wife who works in Kibwezi, said she was not at home when the incident occurred and that she was informed by relatives about her son’s death. A suspect identified as Ganiyu Maruf, who was recently arrested with human skulls has stated that to acquire quick wealth, he decided to team up with his accomplice to purchase human parts. Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has strongly condemned the lynching of two herdsmen by an angry mob in the Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of the state on Sunday. The state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said the mob forcefully seized two herders allegedly linked to banditry and killed them. “The mob then lynched and burnt the herders, even though they had not been found complicit in the allegations,” he said. A district pastor in Akwa Ibom has reportedly been suspended for allowing a political party hold a thanksgiving service in his branch. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency raided a mansion in the Lekki area of Lagos State where Tramadol was stored. NDLEA Spokesman, Femi Babafemi, in a terse statement on Monday, said the mansion belonged to a drug baron who is now in custody. A woman was fortunate to escape two rapists who tried to attack her last night. The survivor took to Twitter to share her story. She revealed that two men attempted to rape her but she was able to outrun them. She also shared a photo of her leg, dusty and bleeding, following the chase. After she shared her story, some male Twitter users blamed her for the experience. The incident happened in South Africa and has revived the conversation about rape and femicide in the country.

Decomposed bodies of two women have been found in a shallow grave in the office of a medical doctor, Abass Adio Adebowale Adeyemi, in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara state.
