Three alleged kidnappers killed in a raid at a hideout

The raid on the kidnappers’ hideouts at Dajin Madam and Yankari Reserve forests was carried on the eve of the new year. 

Three suspected kidnappers have been killed in a Joint Operation conducted by Bauchi police command in forests at Alkaleri Local Government Area.

The Command’s spokesman, SP Ahmed Wakili, said the operatives in conjunction with sister security agencies, raided the kidnappers’ hideouts at Dajin Madam and Yankari Reserve forests on the eve of the new year. Two Ak47 rifles were recovered during the operation.

Wakili also revealed that two suspects were arrested on December 27 2022 by operatives attached to the Command Anti-Kidnapping unit Base 4, following credible intelligence available.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Adamu Mohammed, 33, and Datti Alhaji Bulama (AKA Dattuwa), 35, all of Maimadi ward via Pali district.

The principal suspect (Adamu Muhammad) confessed to participating in kidnapping activities in Kaltanga village where they allegedly kidnapped four people and camped them at Yankari Forest for about five days until the sum of N20,000,000 was paid as ransom.

The suspect said he received the sum of N30,000 as his share of the proceeds of the crime.

The suspects will be charged to court after the investigation has been concluded.

In other news,

A man identified as Suleiman Adamu is mourning his younger sister, Asiyah, who was killed by kidnappers in Kaduna State.

Adamu, who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, said the kidnappers killed his sister after collecting ransom.

According to him, Asiya was kidnapped 53 days ago.

“As we all know that, every soul should test death. I need you all prayers to my younger sister (ASIYAH). Kidnappers killed her after received the ransom. As i told earlier, she was kidnapped since 53days by kidnappers and finally she was killed by them. We submitted all, to almighty that to makes judges in the day of their evidents that to be useless,” he wrote.
