Man explains why marriages today do not last as long as those of previous generations, says- "my mom is still living with my dad, while my dad has children with other women."

He stated that many marriages are failing these days because most young couples lack patience.

A Nigerian man, Daniel Oteng, has opined that pride and a lack of respect are some of the reasons for the many failed marriages in today’s world.

Oteng made this assertion in a Nigerian Facebook group while responding to a post on why marriages don’t last as long nowadays compared to those of the older generation.

He stated that many marriages are failing these days because most young couples lack patience. According to him, his mother has refused to leave his father, even though he has children with other women—something he claims the younger generation won’t tolerate.

“Let me answer this , my mom is still living with my dad, while my dad has children with other women. Even her own children advised her to leave the marriage, she said never, she will wait end of this. This generation don’t have patience and no atom of respect for each other, Pride, too knowing.” he wrote.
