Robbed and stabbed undergraduate Student rescued from criminal gang in Bayelsa

Operatives of the Bayelsa State Vigilante Service have rescued a student of Federal University, Otueke from the hands of suspected criminal gangs along the Tombia-Etegwe market area in Yenagoa.

The victim was stabbed and robbed by the members of the gang on Thursday, January 19, 2023.

The Chairman of the Vigilante Service, Hon. Doubiye Alagba, who confirmed the development on Friday, said the quick intervention of the vigilante operatives saved the life of the FUO undergraduate and led to the arrest of one Ezekiel Samson, aged 30, who hails from Ekeremor LGA of the state.

Alagba further disclosed that his team has rushed the victim to a Hospital in Yenagoa for emergency care and he is still unconcious as a result of the injury he sustained during his ordeal.

“We are yet to get his full identity because of his condition at the moment.The suspect has been handed over to the Akenfa Division of the Nigeria Police Force, Bayelsa State Command for further investigation,” he added.
