This year has so far showcased some truly exceptional films.

Other standout films include an origin story about sneakers and the heart wrenching history of a space raccoon. Alongside these emotional stories are fun reimaginings of the romantic comedy genre and a powerful tale about an aging boxing champion facing his past demons. Keanu Reeves also makes an appearance to fight never ending legions of bad guys, which we can all agree is always entertaining! Without further ado.

1. 'Rye Lane'
The name of the setting where the main characters of this romantic comedy meet is 'Rye Lane'. Upon being recently dumped, Dom played by David Jonsson and Yas played by Vivian Oparah meet in a unisex bathroom resulting in an awkward but tearful encounter. This brings them together and sets the tone for their adorably quirky relationship. Raine Allen-Miller's reimagining of the rom-com is a must-see, showcasing London through a revelatory stroll that involves running into an ex, chatting over spicy food and even some light breaking-and-entering.
2. 'Air'
The original Air Jordans are undoubtedly iconic, but director Ben Affleck's basketball business drama nearly rivals their cool factor. Matt Damon stars as a tenacious talent scout determined to secure NBA newbie Michael Jordan for a lucrative Nike shoe deal in 1984. The only obstacle standing in his way?
