Nyesom Wike has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his recent decision to remove fuel subsidies

On May 29th while taking office, Tinubu declared a no petrol subsidy policy resulting in an increase in petroleum prices thus the formation of long queues at different filling stations nationwide.

This development caused the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) together with Trade Union Congress (TUC) to issue threats about embarking on nationwide strike actions.

Wike applauded this daring but unpopular decision by Tinubu and characterized it as excellent leadership decision-making with A-rated approach tactics stating that few heads of state could have gone through with such moves for their countries hence showcasing his preparedness towards stewardship before Nigerian citizens.

Wike recommends Nigerians should support him because he embodies the right characteristics required from a leader statutorily meant for governance responsibilities running around public needs whilst legitimately affecting practical policies capable of promoting social growth and harmony within citizens' lives across the entire nation.
