We cannot afford to let these bright minds escape our country; if we don't act now it will be painful for us all when they're gone Gbajabiamila tells new lawmakers

He highlighted Nigerias' problem of losing bright youths as he spoke about how these youths lack trust in their home country.

Due to this severance of trust youngsters are chasing life and aspirations outside Nigeria.

In his words: "We cannot afford to let these bright minds escape our country; if we don't act now it will be painful for us all when they're gone. "

Gbajabiamila stressed that both government arms must be proactive in tackling these issues and save Nigeria from further losses. In conclusion he charged Nigerian leadership with critical questions; how will a robust economy emerge which offers opportunities galore through hard work and creativity?

How will Nigerians' safety against marauding criminals be guaranteed? And lastly: “How do we make our young people believe enough in Nigerian institutions so they won’t flee to other nations?” The weighty inquiries mentioned above demand our attention as individuals entrusted with serving the public.

Failure to do so would leave us vulnerable to condemnation from posterity.

Every sunrise brings fresh opportunities for us, as leaders, to make tough calls and pursue necessary interventions for the sake of our nation's longevity.

Alas, each dawn also underscores the pressing imperativeness of prompt action.
