President Tinubu Expresses Satisfaction as Policies Bear Fruit with Positive Results

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said the policies his administration has introduced since its inception on May 29, 2023, are yielding positive results.

According to Tinubu, his administration is getting support and commendations from global communities over its removal of fuel subsidy and the foreign exchange regime policies.

The Nation reports that the President said this over the weekend during a gala/award night organized by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF) to recognize and honor outstanding civil servants in commemoration of this year’s Civil Service Week. Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, the President expressed appreciation to the civil servants for their contributions to the economic development of the country.

President Tinubu, who acknowledged that the policies had in one way or the other affected the masses, said his administration was working on measures to cushion the effects.

“We shall, without delay, cushion the pains being experienced by our people as a result of these measures through a number of well-targeted interventions aimed at giving adequate relief and succour to a great number of our long- suffering citizens,” he said.

The President pledged to give more support to the civil service sector, which he described as the custodian of public trust, to consolidate the gains of the ongoing reforms in the sector.
