Young Woman Tragically Raped and Murdered in Taraba State by Unidentified Assailants

Taraba State, Nigeria, was struck by a devastating incident that left the community reeling in shock and grief. An 18-year-old girl, identified as Wassa Joel, fell victim to a heinous crime when she was brutally raped and murdered by unknown assailants.

An 18-year-old girl identified as Wassa Joel, was reportedly raped and murdered by unknown assailants in Taraba State.


It was gathered that the incident happened in Lankaviri community, Yorro Local Government Area of the state on Sunday morning, July 30, 2023.


Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report.


Meanwhile, members of the community have taken to Facebook to demand for justice.


According to one Moses Keke Kemuel, the Chief of the community, HRH Gana Mago, has called for calm following the gruesome murder.
