In defiance of cautionary advice, a group of individuals assembled with buckets and containers to extract fuel from the roadside following the overturning of a diesel-laden tanker, resulting in a spillage of its contents.

The tanker was travelling along the Otedola Bridge in Lagos when it crashed into a white vehicle and fell to its side.
As the contents of the trailer poured onto the street, residents immediately rushed out with containers to fetch diesel for themselves. Some scooped from the roadside while others climbed the fallen tanker to scoop fuel from it.
