A court in California, United States of America, has barred dancer Korra Obidi and her ex-husband, Justin Dean, from posting visuals of their children on social media. In a court document dated January 19th 2022, the former couple, who are parents to June Dean and Athena Dean, were forbidden from posting videos, photos or live-stream of their children or any content that have their children in it on social media until further notice. The court order partly reads, “Neither party may post any videos, photos or live-stream the minor children on any social media platform nor allow the minor children to appear in any picture, video or live-stream posted to any social media platform without further Court Order. Neither party may take video, photos or live stream any interaction between the parties in this matter until further Court Order.” Justin announced in March 2022 that he was divorcing Korra , just days after she welcomed their second child. Their divorce was finalised in November 2022

UK’s prime minister, Rishi Sunak has been fined by Lancashire Police for failing to wear a seatbelt while filming a social media clip in the back of a moving car. He apologised for the “brief error of judgment” after the clip was posted to Instagram during a visit to the area to talk about Levelling Up funding. It is the second fixed penalty notice for Mr. Sunak ; while chancellor, he was issued with a £50 ticket for breaching Covid lockdown laws at one of the events that sparked the Partygate scandal. Reports at the time suggested Mr. Sunak had to be “talked out” of resigning over the fine. Prosecutors have filed a motion alleging that Grammy-winning rapper Young Thug whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, and a racketeering co-defendant conducted a hand-to-hand drug transaction during a court hearing. According to Fulton County prosecutors, the alleged exchange was captured on courtroom surveillance video on Wednesday, January 19. The prosecutors said Thug’s co-defendant Kahlieff Adams was caught handing the rapper a bag of Percocets despite two bailiffs being mere feet away. Operatives of the Bayelsa State Vigilante Service have rescued a student of Federal University, Otueke from the hands of suspected criminal gangs along the Tombia-Etegwe market area in Yenagoa. Doubiye Alagba, who confirmed the development on Friday, said the quick intervention of the vigilante operatives saved the life of the FUO undergraduate and led to the arrest of one Ezekiel Samson, aged 30, who hails from Ekeremor LGA of the state . A small single-engine plane crashed in New York City on Thursday, Jan. 19, killing both people on board, officials said. The Beechcraft A36 was on its way to Cuyahoga County Airport in Ohio from JFK Airport when it went down around 6:15 p.m. after the pilot reported engine trouble about one mile from Westchester County Airport in White Plains, the Federal Aviation Administration said. Westchester’s airport is roughly a 40-mile drive to JFK Airport. The plane was found hours later in the trees near Rye Lake, according to Westchester County officials. Both passengers were found dead inside the wreckage. Their identities have not yet been released. The owner of the plane, a business owner from Ohio, told CBS2 that the two people aboard were experienced pilots from the Cleveland area. The plane’s owner also told the news outlet he was devastated by the crash. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the incident.

The police in Lagos state have arrested a mother and her partner for allegedly battering her two children aged 5 and 2. The woman identified as Busola Oyediran and her partner, Akebiara Emmanuel, were arrested on Friday, January 13, by the police following reports by neighbours. The concerned neighbours had alerted the police of the consant physical abuse of the minors by their biological mother and her partner. Following the report, the police stormed the Egbeda/Idimu home of the couple and arrested them. The police later visited the hospital where the neighbours had taken the battered children for treatment. When confronted, their mother claimed the children fell from a motorcycle and suffered serious injuries.
