Chioma Jasmine has spoken up after being accused of being Mr Ibu’s side chic, not his daughter. Chioma, a popular TikToker, has gone viral multiple times due to her relationship with Mr Ibu. However, Mr. Ibu’s wife Stella Maria Okafor, released a video on Friday, Feb. 3, to accuse the actor of infidelity and physical assault. In the video, Mr Ibu and Stella are seen heatedly arguing about Chioma. In an interview with Daddy Freeze, Chioma Jasmine, Mr Ibu, and Mr Ibu’s older sons all spoke to deny the allegations that Chioma is Mr Ibu’s side chic. They all said that Chioma is Ibu’s adopted daughter. Speaking, Chioma Jasmine revealed that while she was taking care of Mr. Ibu when he was terribly sick in the hospital, the wife was nowhere to be found. She added that when the wife visited the hospital, it was to complain about the money being spent on his health. President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that he was aware of the scarcity of cash and was working on eradicating it. In a post shared on his official Twitter account on February 3, President Buhari informed Nigerians that he met with some governors to look into the problem and promised significant improvements between now and February 10. He wrote; “I am aware of the cash shortages and hardship being faced by people and businesses, on account of the Naira redesign. I want to assure that we are doing everything to resolve these issues. Nigerians should expect significant improvements between now and the February 10 deadline. I met with a delegation of Governors today, on the matter. All the complaints about the execution of the currency change are being seriously looked into. I will ensure that everything is resolved in a lasting manner, and we will all enjoy the long-term benefits of the decision.”

The Kaduna Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), said it has arrested 100 suspects and seized 4,891.715kg of illicit drugs in the state. The State Commander, Dr Braji Alhaji, who made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Kaduna, said that the arrest and the seizure were made in January. Alhaji said the 100 suspects arrested comprised 92 males and eight females. The Commander listed drugs seized to include Indian Hemp weighing 3,888.426kg, Heroin 0.006kg, Cocaine 0.053kg, Methamphetamine 0.0012kg, Tramadol 4.482kg, and other Psychotropic 998.736kg. Alhaji said the command would intensify the war against illegal drugs and consumption in the state. He appealed to residents to always provide useful and timely information to the agency for immediate action. He also urged parents and guardians to be watchful over their wards.

A 46-year-old man, Hassan Azeez has been arrested by the police for setting his wife ablaze for washing his clothes instead of cooking. SP Abimbola Oyeyemi of Ogun State Police command has issued a statement that the victim’s father reported to Ibogun divisional headquarters that his daughter, Olayinka Hassan, was set ablaze by her husband.
