South African Man Allegedly Involved in Tragic Incident Involving 19-Year-Old Girlfriend and Faked Death

In Thohoyandou, Limpopo, South Africa, a 27-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with the tragic fatal stabbing of his 19-year-old girlfriend. The suspect was arrested on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from his hideout in the Waterberg District at Mokopane, Mahwelereng Zone 17, Polokwane, by the members of the Thohoyandou Task Team after receiving information about his hideout in the area. It is alleged that on Sunday 03 September 2023 at about 22:40, Police received a complaint about a female victim who was stabbed at Ha-Magidi village and immediately proceeded to the scene. Upon arrival, Police found the members of Emergency Medical Services (EM) busy attending to a 19-year-old victim who later succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The deceased was identified by the next of kin as Ridodzula Mudzanani, who is from Mbaleni village. Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was walking when she met her boyfriend. Chicago State University Ordered by US Court to Provide Tinubu's Academic Records to Atiku Within 48 Hours

Judge Jeffrey Gilbert of the U.S District Court, Northern District of Illinois, USA, has ordered Chicago State University to release the academic records of Nigeria's President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Gilbert, a US magistrate judge, gave the ruling on Tuesday, September 19, ordering CSU to produce “all relevant and non-privileged documents” to Abubakar Atiku, the plaintiff, within two days. Tinubu’s lawyers have argued that their client is not willing to lift his privacy privilege, with the ruling also conceding this by using the term ‘non-privileged documents”. The University in its deposition before the court consistently confirmed that Tinubu attended the university and graduated in 1979. Also, on Tuesday, Atiku approached the Supreme Court, seeking to set aside the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court(PEPC), which on 6 September affirmed Tinubu’s election. The leader of the Landlords Association in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has shared his account of the events that unfolded on the night of singer Mohbad's passing. In a video making rounds online, he alleged that Mohbad's father wanted to bury him on the midnight of the day he died. The Head of Landlords however claimed that he stopped him. Shocking photos emerged yesterday, September 18, showing the extent of injuries inflicted on Ms. Sodje Omoefe  The victim has now revealed that the man who brutalised her is her ex-lover, not her husband as reported. A 20-year-old Kenyan woman named Mercy Momanyi is bravely opening up about a life-altering incident in which she alleges that her boyfriend, Sheldon Ombongi Okerosi, caused severe burns. Ms Momanyi, from Mosocho, Kisii County, claimed that her boyfriend poured scalding hot water on her following a heated argument on August 23, 2023.  In the process, Mr. Okerosi’s mother, Ms Peninah Atemba, was also injured.  After the incident, Mr. Okerosi went missing and later informed some friends that he had returned to the United States.  In an interview with the Nairobi News on Monday, September 18, Ms Momanyi revealed that their relationship took a dark turn when she discovered suspicious messages on Mr. Okerosi’s phone, indicating he was involved with other women.  Confronted with her questions, he allegedly turned violent. Femi Falana Calls for Coroner's Inquiry Regarding Mohbad's Demise

Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), has demanded a Coroner’s Inquest into the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad. Falana made the demand following the controversial death of Mohbad, on September 12, 2023, and was laid to rest the next day. The request was contained in a letter to the Chief Coroner, High Court of Lagos State in Ikeja. In the letter, Falana said his law firm was aware of the “very tragic death” of Mohbad and wanted an inquest to “be conducted into the cause of death of this young promising musician and make appropriate recommendations pursuant to Section 15 of the Lagos State Coroner’s Law 2007 which provides that an inquest shall hold whenever a coroner is informed that the death of a deceased person within his Coroner District is as a result of a death in a violent, unnatural or suspicious situation”. Chinwendu Igboesorom Odili, a Nigerian woman, has welcomed a set of quadruplets, consisting of two boys and two girls, following a nine-year-long journey of anticipation and hope.   She delivered the children in April 2023, while the dedication was held last month in Ijegun-Ikotun, Lagos.    She took to Facebook on September 13, to thank God for the successful dedication of her children.   “Thank God for the success of my children's dedication, May God's presence never depart from them, Amen.@ Egwu Doris may the Almighty God bless you more for this wonderful and beautiful stroller, you will never lack any good thing. @ Igboesorom Chukwudi thank you for the sacrifices, may the Almighty Elevate and announce you, Amen,” she wrote.    Photos of the mother and her children are currently going viral on social media. 

Friends Grieve as FRSC Officer Killed in Orile Had Just Become a Parent

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is in mourning as they confirm the identity of the officer who was fatally crushed in the Orile incident. The officer has been identified as Abiodun Ajomole, adding a somber note to the already tragic incident. The father-of-three was squeezed to death by a trailer on Saturday, Sept. 16,  as he attended to a bus he flagged down at Orile bus stop, Lagos State.  According to reports, Ajomole welcomed his third child with his wife just two months ago. Friends have taken to Facebook to mourn the officer.
