Russian military aircraft carrying 65 prisoners from Ukraine crashes in the Belgorod region.

It hasn't been determined whether anyone survived the incident, which is said to have happened at approximately 11 a.m., nor what the true reason of the accident was. Governor of Ondo, Aiyedatiwa, sacks all of Akeredolu's aides and dissolves the State Executive Council.

According to his family's burial plans, Akeredolu's funeral ceremonies will take place in Ibadan, Akure, and Owo from February 15 to February 25. All former aides of late Governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu have been sacked.   They were sacked by the new Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa following the dissolution of the State Executive Council, with immediate effect.   Aiyedatiwa also sacked all Senior Special Assistants, SSAs, and Special Assistants, SAs.   The governor took over the reins of leadership in the state following the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.   Recall that Akeredolu died on December 27, 2023, at a German hospital following a protracted illness.   Burial arrangement by his family said Akeredolu’s funeral rites would begin from February 15 to February. 25 in Ibadan, Akure and Owo.
